Job Summary
The Applications Engineer (AE) will spend most of their time focused on applying Simulink and MATLAB capabilities to the development of SPC applications (Digital Signal Processing, Video & Image Processing, etc.) in various industries (Electronics, Semiconductor, Medical, Automotive, etc.) and will be responsible for demonstrating their knowledge during sales meetings, conference calls, public seminars, and in the development of complex product demonstrations.
Responsibilities
1. Providing technical pre-sales support, in understanding and synthesizing customer requirements, then explaining the features and capabilities of our products and related third party products relative to their specific needs. 
2. Preparing and delivering product presentations to customers. These are delivered during customer meetings and during marketing seminars where large audiences exist.
 
3. Developing demonstration programs, application examples, and simulation models. These are generally used as support for a sales call or to make a solution clear relative to an application support assignment.
 
4. Providing technical support to customers who require guidance on how to use evaluation products for their adaption of MathWorks product.
Qualifications Required / Preferred
·         BS or MS in engineering or computer science required
·         Knowledge of MATLAB and/or Simulink (or similar tools)
·         Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing and/or Video & Image Processing
·         Knowledge of C/C++
·         Experience of a Field Application Engineer would be better
·         Fluency in Japanese and English skills TOEIC>700
·         Pro-active

 Position : Account Manager


Job Summary

The role of AM is mainly to provide key internal support to relevant client related activities. Working closely with GAD/AD, he/she supports creative briefing, and ensure strategy and creative ourput, cost estimation and campaign management/analysis in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

Client service and project related

Establish requirements of brief and work with GAD/AD to develop creative brief.
- Effectively delegate specific tasks based on brief requirements.
- Assist in the co-ordination, writing and verbal briefing of internal and external resources as required e.g. creative, production, third party specialists etc.
- Achieve worthwhile output from brainstorms.
- Co-ordinate creative and project management aspects of Agency's response to client brief.
- Evaluate the response in terms of quality and likely revenue.
- Assist in presenting/selling the response.
- Obtain feedback from client.
- Project implementation and monitor progress against plan.
- Prepare weekly reports as required and other documents/ materials for internal and external meetings.
- Produce accurate contact reports following any contact with client - give clients contact reports within 24 hours of meetings.
- Provide client and team with feedback on project on a daily / "need-to-know" basis.
- Provide updates to budgets and help managers ensure timing plans are fully up to date.
- Develop a through understanding of each process involved in a project and execute actions required when they arise.
- Ensure that all materials get to markets on time and in the most cost efficient way.

Non-project specific

Manage client relationship on a day-to-day basis.
- Make relevant contribution in areas where you are non-revenue accountable-brainstorms, team meetings, and maintaining the agency's image and personality.
- Be a leading star in the use and contribution to the knowledge database.
- Be aware of the opportunities that lead to business growth.
- Be pro-active in creating opportunities and discussing them with AD/AM.
- Assist with the preparation of new business pitches if required.

Financial Management

Develop a thorough understanding of the internal accounting procedures and implement it.
- Raising of purchase orders.
- Preparation of sales invoices.
- Sign off procedures.
- Understand implement in the completion of revenue/billings summaries by job number to for month end.
- Assist AD/GAD to control revenue and billing.
